Privacy Policy
Bible AI Stories & Prayer ("the App", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information is processed when you use the App, why it is used, the service providers involved, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Process
- Identifiers: an app-generated user ID, Firebase app-instance identifiers, Tenjin installation identifiers, Identifier for Vendor (IDFV), and—only when authorized through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt—the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA).
- App activity: app launches and limited product-interaction events, such as completing onboarding, viewing the paywall, selecting a subscription option, and completing supported app features. Event names do not include the text of your prayers, AI questions, notes, or Bible reflections.
- Attribution and device information: campaign or referral information, ATT status, IP-derived country or approximate location, device model, operating system, app version, language, locale, and time zone. This information supports analytics, fraud prevention, and user-acquisition attribution.
- Purchase information: product identifiers, subscription status, purchase dates, trial and renewal status, and transaction or receipt information. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive or store your full payment card number.
- AI feature content: when you use an AI feature, the message or selection you submit, including an optional mood selection, is transmitted to our server and AI provider to generate a response.
- Operational information: request type, response status, subscription tier, rate-limit counters, and security or reliability metadata.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
Reading progress, bookmarks, highlights, notes, habits, reminders, check-ins, and AI history are generally stored locally on your device. This local information is not transmitted to Firebase Analytics or Tenjin as content. It remains on the device until you remove it through available app controls, clear app data, or delete the App.
3. AI Features
AI requests are transmitted securely through our server to our AI service provider, OpenAI, solely to generate the requested response and operate the feature. Our application database does not store the text of your AI message or the generated response. It may retain the app-generated user ID and limited request metadata—including request type, status, optional mood category, subscription tier, and usage counters—for access control, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, and service reliability.
Please avoid including names, contact details, financial information, medical information, or other information that you do not want processed by an AI service.
4. Analytics and Attribution
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate and user-level feature usage and app performance. We use Tenjin to measure installs, campaigns, and selected conversion events. The same app-generated user ID may be supplied to Firebase, Tenjin, and RevenueCat so that analytics, attribution, feature access, and subscription status can be reconciled.
Tenjin may process device identifiers, attribution data, approximate location derived from an IP address, and selected app interaction or subscription events for advertising measurement. These practices may be considered tracking under Apple’s rules.
5. App Tracking Transparency
On supported Apple devices, the App requests permission before accessing the IDFA for attribution. If you allow tracking, the IDFA may be sent to Tenjin for campaign measurement. If you decline, the IDFA is unavailable; permitted device/app information and privacy-preserving attribution technologies such as SKAdNetwork may still be used.
You can change this choice at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking on your device.
6. Purchases and Subscriptions
Apple processes App Store payments. RevenueCat manages subscription status, receipt validation, entitlements, trials, renewals, and purchase analytics. RevenueCat may send relevant purchase and subscription events to Tenjin for attribution and campaign measurement. We also receive RevenueCat webhook information on our server so the App can verify access to paid features.
7. Service Providers
We share information only as needed with providers that perform services for the App:
- Apple: App Store distribution, payments, StoreKit, App Tracking Transparency, and SKAdNetwork.
- Google Firebase: app analytics and installation measurement.
- Tenjin: mobile attribution, campaign measurement, and selected conversion analytics.
- RevenueCat: purchase validation, subscription management, entitlements, and subscription analytics.
- OpenAI: processing AI feature requests and generating responses.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers: secure delivery of backend services, database operations, and technical support.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.
8. How We Use Information
- Provide Bible, story, prayer, reminder, and AI features.
- Validate subscriptions and unlock paid functionality.
- Apply usage limits, prevent fraud or abuse, and protect the service.
- Understand feature usage, diagnose problems, and improve reliability.
- Attribute installs and conversions and evaluate app marketing campaigns.
- Respond to support and privacy requests.
9. Data Retention
Local information remains on your device until you remove it or delete the App. Subscription, attribution, analytics, and operational records are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, provider requirements, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. Retention periods may differ across Apple, Firebase, Tenjin, RevenueCat, OpenAI, and our hosting providers.
10. Your Choices and Requests
- Decline or later disable tracking through iOS Settings.
- Disable notifications in the App or iOS Settings.
- Withdraw AI feature consent using the available in-app setting.
- Delete locally stored information by using available controls or deleting the App.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of server-side information by emailing us. We may ask for limited information needed to locate and verify the relevant app record.
11. Security and International Processing
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, including encrypted network connections where supported. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure. Our providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their legal and contractual safeguards.
12. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when the App, its providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the date above when revisions are published. Material changes may also be communicated through the App or another appropriate channel.
